Visits to Mogok are not allowed in the middle of 2005, but might be
permitted again in future.
The highest quality of rubies is mined in this area. The town is
situated around 8 hours drive Northeast of Mandalay.
Visits to Mogok were not allowed beginning of 2005, might however be
permitted again in future.The town has a market where gems are traded.
